Edgmont Township in western Delaware
County, Pennsylvania, is celebrated in an exhibit featuring 54 photographs
by 27 local photographers. The exhibit portrays a mix of what makes
Edgmont memorable from scenes in Ridley Creek State Park
and the Colonial Plantation, to local animals, trees, fields, and
even a few shops and eateries. Photographs will be available for
The exhibition stems from a competition
that invited amateur and professional photographers to submit their
best images captured within the 10 square miles of the township.
Jurors for the competition were Amie Potsic, executive director
of Main Line Art Center; Edgmont Township supervisor Hank Winchester,
III; realtor and Edgmont business association board member David
Joslin; and Beauty Art Gallery owner Paula Jackson.
The exhibit will open October 12, 2017 with the Awards Reception
and Open House scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October, 14.
The public is invited.
Photographers will be honored with awards for best
landscape, floral, animal, detail, and biggest Wow.
The First Award photograph will be featured on Edgmont Townships
2018 calendar. The Second Award photograph will be featured in a
promotion sponsored by the Edgmont Township Business and Professional
Association, (ETBPA). Award recipients will be announced and posted
here following the reception.
