Call for Entries "Edgmont Environs & Details"

Edgmont Township offers perhaps the most photogenic 10 square miles you could hope to find in Pennsylvania. Observe the bucolic fields along Delchester Road and West Chester Pike. Enjoy the splashing waters and sun slanted forests in Ridley Creek State Park. If structures or geology is your thing, there are historical buildings galore and the storied Castle Rocks of “Sandy Flash” lore. Consider photographing animals, details, history, landscape, structures, or whatever most engages you.

Submit your best photographs to Edgmont Environs & Details, a contest, exhibit and sale hosted by Beauty Art Gallery, located on Providence Road near West Chester Pike, right in Edgmont Township. We are looking for images that represent the beauty and/ or unique details of this area. We welcome both amateur and professional photographers 18 years of age and older to submit their original work. The most compelling photographs will be chosen for a 4-week exhibition and sale to be housed at Beauty Art Gallery, 3857 Providence Rd. #200, Newtown Square, 19073 (Edgmont Township just off West Chester Pike).

Edgmont is located in the north-central portion of Delaware County. Its northern boundary is on the Delaware County-Chester County line where it lies adjacent to Westtown and Willistown Townships, Chester County. In Delaware County it is bordered by Thornbury Township on the west, Middletown Township on the south, and Upper Providence Township on the southeast. On the east, the Township is bordered by Crum Creek, the Springton Reservoir, and Newtown Township. Click here for map to print out .

Edgmont Township includes Edgmont, Gradyville, Ridley Creek State Park. Edgmont includes a network of runs, tributaries and creeks of the Chester, Ridley and Crum Creek watersheds, contributing to the verdant nature of the township and perhaps its motto “The Emerald of Delaware County.” Learn more at www.Edgmont.org, and select About, then History.
